Schneider Electric appoints Power Systems and Infrastructure VP for sub-Saharan Africa

Energy technology company Schneider Electric has appointed Nicole Malan as its new VP for its Power Systems and Infrastructure Sub-Saharan Africa operations.
Malan has 18 years of experience in the electrical, energy and construction sectors and has a proven record of delivering complex, multi‑unit projects and driving profitable growth.
In her new role, Malan will focus on accelerating the energy transition, advancing digitalisation and delivering efficient and sustainable power infrastructure solutions of the company's Power Systems and Infrastructure business across sub-Saharan Africa.
“Our focus is to deliver world‑leading, sustainable energy solutions that help customers thrive in the new energy landscape, strengthen long‑term partnerships and drive tangible regional growth,” she says.
Malan is passionate about advancing sustainable energy systems and empowering teams, and will support customers in navigating the energy transition while driving innovation and long-term value creation, the company says.
Malan, who is an engineer by training, has a Master’s degree in Industrial Management, Project and Supply Chain and a Master’s degree in Finance.
Prior to the new role, Malan served as the company's VP for Power Systems in Francophone Africa during which time she strengthened the company’s regional presence and advanced its integrated power strategy.
She also served as Hub Cluster Director for Francophone Africa and Islands, led diverse teams and delivered high‑impact projects across multiple markets.
