Name of the Mine
Nevada Gold Mines (NGM).

Location
NGM is located across multiple sites in northern Nevada, in the US.

Mine Owner/s
NGM is 61.5%-owned and operated by Barrick Gold Corporation. Newmont Corporation owns the remaining 38.5% interest.

Barrick plans to create a new publicly listed company to hold its interests in NGM Pueblo Viejo and Fourmile, with an initial public offering expected by late 2026, subject to approvals and market conditions.

Brief Description
NGM is an integrated surface and underground gold mining complex. It is one of the world’s largest gold-producing complexes and comprises a network of openpit and underground mines, mills, roasters, autoclaves, concentrators and heap-leach facilities.

The operation comprises the Carlin, Cortez, Turquoise Ridge and Phoenix mining complexes.

Carlin includes five underground mines, three active openpits and a heap-leach facility. Cortez includes two underground mines, three active openpits, the Cortez oxide mill and an associated heap-leach facility. Turquoise Ridge includes two underground mines, two openpits and a heap-leach facility. Phoenix comprises two active gold/copper openpits and a heap-leach facility.

Brief History
Newmont had been producing gold in Nevada for more than 50 years before the formation of the NGM  (JV) venture. The operation’s first production is recorded by Newmont as 1965.

NGM was established on July 1, 2019, when Barrick and Newmont combined their respective Nevada assets into a single JV. Barrick became the operator, with a 61.5% ownership interest, while Newmont retained a 38.5% interest.

Primary Metals/Minerals
Gold.

Secondary Metals/Minerals
Copper and silver.

Geology/Mineralisation
NGM is a district-scale gold complex comprising several deposit styles and ore types across the Carlin, Cortez, Turquoise Ridge and Phoenix districts.

Reserves
As at December 31, 2025, NGM had total proven and probable gold reserves of about 522-million tonnes grading 2.68 g/t gold.

Total silver reserves were about 179-million tonnes grading 6.59 g/t silver.

Total copper reserves were about 210-million tonnes grading about 0.18% copper.

Resources
As at December 31, 2025, NGM had total measured and indicated gold resources, exclusive of reserves, of about 531-million tonnes grading 1.31 g/t gold. Inferred gold resources were about 231-million tonnes grading 2.5 g/t gold.

Measured and indicated silver resources, exclusive of reserves, were about 314-million tonnes grading 5.22 g/t silver. Inferred silver resources were about 26-million tonnes grading 5.4 g/t silver, containing about 4.7-million ounces.

Measured and indicated copper resources, exclusive of reserves, were about 339-million tonnes grading 0.16% copper. Inferred copper resources were about 31-million tonnes grading about 0.1% copper.

Type of Mine
Surface and underground.

Mining Method
NGM uses openpit and underground mining methods. Openpit mining is undertaken across the Carlin, Cortez, Turquoise Ridge and Phoenix complexes, while underground mining is undertaken at Carlin, Cortez and Turquoise Ridge.

Major Infrastructure/Equipment
NGM has one of the most extensive gold-processing networks in the world.

Infrastructure includes underground and openpit mines, oxide mills, roasters, autoclaves, concentrators, heap-leach facilities, a copper leach circuit and solvent extraction/electrowinning (SX/EW) facilities.

The Carlin processing complex includes roaster and autoclave capacity, as well as oxide milling and heap-leach infrastructure. The Goldstrike roaster has capacity of about 5.6-million tonnes a year, while the Gold Quarry roaster has capacity of about 3.7-million tonnes a year. Goldstrike’s autoclave capacity is about 4.4-million tonnes a year, and the Sage autoclave has capacity of about 3.9-million tonnes a year.

The Cortez oxide mill has capacity of about 3.8-million tonnes a year. The Juniper oxide mill has capacity of about 500 000 t/y.

Phoenix includes a gold/copper concentrator with capacity of about 11-million tonnes a year, and a copper leach and SX/EW circuit with capacity of about 12-million tonnes a year.

A sulphur concentrator channels material from Turquoise Ridge and Phoenix into the broader Carlin processing complex.

The openpit fleet comprises shovels and haul trucks, with an average payload of 298 t. The underground fleet comprises underground loaders and haul trucks, with an average payload of 40 t.

Prospects
NGM has a reserve life of ten years or more.

Growth prospects include the ramp-up of the Goldrush underground mine, which forms part of the Cortez complex.

Barrick’s Fourmile project is a significant nearby growth opportunity.
