Location  
Kellogg, in the Coeur d'Alene mining district of Idaho's Silver Valley, Shoshone County, northern Idaho, US.

Mine Owner/s  
Bunker Hill Mining Corp owns 100% of the mine through its wholly owned subsidiary Silver Valley Metals Corp. On August 21, 2026, Bunker Hill Mining announced a definitive merger agreement to acquire Silver47 Exploration in an all-stock deal valued at about $163-million. Upon closing, the combined entity plans to rename itself Bunker Hill Silver Corp.

Brief Description  
Bunker Hill is a historic underground zinc/lead/silver mine that is being restarted as an 1 800-short-ton-a-day operation. 

Brief History  
The Bunker Hill lode was discovered by Noah Kellogg in 1885. Mining continued for more than a century before the operation closed in 1991. Historical production totalled 42.77-million short tons of ore at average grades of 8.43% lead, 4.52% zinc and 3.52 oz/t silver. Bunker Hill Mining entered into a lease with an option to buy the mine in 2017 and completed its acquisition in January 2022. A prefeasibility study (PFS) for the restart was completed in September 2022. 

The 2022 PFS outlined an initial five-year mine plan producing zinc and lead/silver concentrates.

Rehabilitation, underground development and construction of new processing and backfill facilities followed, leading to production ramp-up in 2026.

The processing facility is operational and the first production stope was blasted in August 2026. The company is ramping up underground mining and optimising the processing circuit, with commercial production targeted by the end of 2026.

Silver. Minor copper occurs in the mineral assemblage, but is not included as a payable product in the current mine plan.

Geology/Mineralisation  
Bunker Hill lies in the Coeur d'Alene mining district, within Mesoproterozoic sedimentary rocks of the Belt-Purcell Supergroup. 

Mineralisation at the mine is hosted almost exclusively by quartzite and siltite of the Upper Revett Formation of the Ravalli Group. The deposit comprises structurally controlled, polymetallic mesothermal veins and hybrid zones. 

West-northwest-striking Bluebird veins contain mainly sphalerite, pyrite and siderite; later northeast-striking galena-quartz veins contain galena, quartz, siderite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and silver-bearing tetrahedrite. Higher-grade hybrid mineralisation occurs where the vein sets intersect. The resource model covers the Newgard, Quill and UTZ zones.

Reserves  
Probable mineral reserves of 3.36-million short tons (about 3.05-million tonnes) grading 5.30% zinc, 2.40% lead and 1.02 oz/t silver. The estimate is effective from August 29, 2022, uses an $80/short-ton net smelter return cutoff and was classified under the 2014 CIM Definition Standards. It is the latest reserve estimate identified in company and SEC disclosures reviewed through September 2026.

Resources  
Measured resources of 2.374-million short tons grading 5.37% zinc, 2.46% lead and 1.01 oz/t silver, and indicated resources of 4.662-million short tons grading 5.48% zinc, 2.37% lead and 1.00 oz/t silver for combined measured and indicated resources of 7.036-million short tons (about 6.38-million tonnes) grading 5.44% zinc, 2.40% lead and 1.00 oz/t silver. Inferred resources total 6.943-million short tons (about 6.30-million tonnes) grading 4.96% zinc, 2.87% lead and 1.52 oz/t silver. The estimate is inclusive of mineral reserves, effective from August 29, 2022, reported at a $70/short-ton net smelter return cutoff and classified under the 2014 CIM Definition Standards. Although the company previously targeted an updated estimate for 2025, no subsequently published Bunker Hill mineral resource estimate was identified.

Mining Method  
The PFS mine plan uses mechanised longhole open stoping and cut-and-fill mining with backfill. Stopes are accessed from lateral development off the ramp system. Ore is drilled and blasted, mucked by load-haul-dump units and hauled to surface. Filtered tailings are mixed with binder to make paste backfill and pumped underground into mined-out voids, reducing surface tailings-storage requirements.

Major Infrastructure/Equipment  
The mine has extensive historic underground workings and is accessed through the Russell and Wardner portals and the Kellogg Tunnel. Restart infrastructure includes a refurbished and enlarged portal; an internal ramp, underground ventilation, power, communications, dewatering and mobile-equipment facilities; and a new surface processing plant at the Kellogg yard. The 1 800-short-ton-a-day plant includes crushing, screening, ball milling and differential flotation circuits producing separate zinc and lead/silver concentrates, together with concentrate storage, a tailings thickener, filter plant and paste-backfill plant. The underground fleet is being supplied by Caterpillar and the tailings filter press is associated with Metso.

Prospects  
A 25 000 ft underground exploration programme is testing high-grade silver targets close to new infrastructure, including the Cate-8 vein, where additional high-grade silver, lead and zinc results were reported on August 31, 2026. The targets are outside the current resource estimate and could support a future resource update and changes to the production profile.
