Project Description
The project includes a new compound mixer, tread line, sidewall line and advanced curing technology. The upgrades expand the plant’s capability to manufacture tyres for passenger cars, sport utility vehicles and light trucks, as well as for local and African export markets, while strengthening its original-equipment supply capability.
The new equipment also supports the manufacture of very low-rolling resistance tyres.
The upgraded mixer improves compound quality and manufacturing consistency and uses energy more efficiently while the new-generation curing technology provides improved temperature control to support tyre performance, durability and quality.
