Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, is excited to announce the appointment of Nicole Malan as its new Vice President, Power Systems and Infrastructure for its Sub-Saharan Africa operations.

With 18 years in the electrical, energy, and construction sectors, Malan offers entrenched international expertise across Europe, Africa, and the Islands. She has a proven track record of delivering complex, multi‑unit projects and driving profitable growth.

In her new role, Malan will oversee Schneider Electric’s Power Systems and Infrastructure business across Sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on accelerating the energy transition, advancing digitalisation, and delivering efficient and sustainable power infrastructure solutions.

Prior to her new role, Malan was Vice President for Power Systems in Francophone Africa, where she strengthened the company’s regional presence and advanced its integrated power strategy. She also served as Hub Cluster Director for Francophone Africa & Islands, leading diverse teams and delivering high‑impact projects across multiple markets.

“I am honoured to take on this role and to further Schneider Electric’s mission across Sub‑Saharan Africa. Our focus is on delivering world‑leading, sustainable energy solutions that not only help customers thrive in the new energy landscape but also strengthen long‑term partnerships and drive tangible regional growth.”

Malan holds multiple advanced qualifications, including a Master’s degree in Industrial Management, Project and Supply Chain from CentraleSupélec, and a Master’s degree in Finance from IAE Paris, Sorbonne Business School, complementing her engineering degree from the Institut National Polytechnique Houphouët-Boigny.

Passionate about advancing sustainable energy systems and empowering teams, Malan is well positioned to lead Schneider Electric’s Power Systems business in the region, supporting customers in navigating the energy transition while driving innovation and long-term value creation.
