Vodacom on Wednesday named Khumo Shuenyane as its chair starting July 2027, replacing Saki Macozoma, who will retire after his ten-year tenure.

Vodacom has a self-imposed tenure of ten years for board members, the mobile operator said.

Shuenyane, who currently serves as the lead independent director, will be appointed as the chairman with effect from July 21, 2027.

Phuthi Mahanyele-Dabengwa, the South Africa CEO of tech investor Naspers, also retires from the board on October 8, 2026.

Former Airtel Africa CEO Segun Ogunsanya has been appointed as an independent non-executive director with effect from October 9, 2026, Vodacom said.
