York Timber will restructure, unbundle Stadsrivier and Mbulwa assets
JSE-listed solid wood processor York Timber says its board has resolved to restructure and optimise the York group and will proceed with the separation and unbundling of the business operations conducted through Stadsrivier Vallei and Mbulwa Estate.
In a trading statement, the company says it expects to report a core loss a share from continuing operations of between 4.9c and 4.95c for the financial year ended June 30, compared with a core loss a share of 0.86c in the prior financial year.
Earnings per share (EPS) from continuing operations are expected to be between 27.40c and 30.73c, down 54% to 59% from EPS of 66.63c for the financial year ended June 2025.
Headline earnings per share (HEPS) from continuing operations are expected to be between 29.37c and 32.65c, down by between 50% and 55%, compared with HEPS of 65.50c in the prior financial year.
Earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation, amortisation, impairment and fair value movements in biological assets is expected to be between R158.7-million and R166.7-million, up by between 1% to 4% compared with R160-million in the prior financial year.
Cash generated from continuing operations is expected to be between R182.3-million and R189.6-million, up by between 25% and 30% compared with R145.9-million the year before.
Cash generated from total operations is expected to be between R166.9-million and R174.2-million, which is an increase of between 13% and 18% compared with R147.6-million in the prior year.
