Engineering solutions company Babcock says that its new partnership with global welding specialist Lincoln Electric, and the launch of a dedicated Welding Solutions Centre, is aimed at helping customers improve productivity and reduce downtime. Lumkile Nkomfe tells us more.

Babcock's appointment as Lincoln Electric's preferred partner across sub-Saharan Africa is expected to provide customers with improved access to welding equipment, consumables and specialist technical support.

The company says the partnership is about more than supplying products, with a strong focus on training, applications support and helping customers select the most suitable welding solutions for their operations.

As industries increasingly look to improve productivity and efficiency, Babcock Plant Services MD Hendrik du Toit says that the company’s new Welding Solutions Centre has been established to give customers direct access to innovative welding technologies, technical support and practical training.
