Date: 18 November 2026

Location: Johannesburg

The Southern African Institute of Tribology (SAIT) is pleased to announce the SAIT Mini Lubricant, Tribology & Laboratory Expo 2026, taking place on 18 November 2026 from 08:30 to 16:30 at Focus Rooms in Modderfontein, Johannesburg.

Bringing together professionals, technical specialists, suppliers, manufacturers and industry stakeholders, the Expo will provide a focused platform for networking, knowledge sharing and showcasing products, technologies and services relevant to the lubrication, tribology, condition monitoring, reliability and laboratory sectors.

Tribology – the science and engineering of friction, wear and lubrication – plays an important role in virtually every industry where machinery and moving components are involved. Effective lubrication practices, condition monitoring and appropriate testing can contribute significantly to improved equipment reliability, reduced downtime, longer component life and more efficient maintenance programmes.

The SAIT Mini Lubricant, Tribology & Laboratory Expo aims to bring these different areas of expertise together in one accessible industry event.

Connect with the Industry

One of the primary objectives of the Expo is to create an environment where people from different areas of the industry can connect directly.

Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with suppliers and technical specialists, discover products and services, exchange knowledge and establish new professional relationships. At the same time, participating companies will have an opportunity to interact directly with professionals involved in lubrication, maintenance, reliability, engineering, condition monitoring and related technical fields.

The event is intended not only as an exhibition, but also as a meeting point for the broader tribology and lubrication community.

Exhibit

Companies are invited to participate as exhibitors and showcase their products, equipment, technologies and services to a targeted professional audience.

Exhibition stands provide businesses with an opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities, introduce solutions, engage with existing and prospective customers, and strengthen their visibility within the industry.

Each exhibition space will be approximately 4 m × 4 m, with a stand cost of R20 000.

Whether your organisation specialises in lubricants, filtration, condition monitoring, laboratory equipment, testing, engineering services, maintenance solutions or related technologies, the Expo offers an opportunity to place your business in front of an audience with a direct interest in these fields.

Present

Knowledge sharing is an important part of SAIT's role within the industry, and technical specialists and industry professionals are invited to participate as presenters.

Presentations provide an opportunity to share practical experience, technical knowledge, new developments, case studies and industry insights with delegates.

There is no cost to present, making this an excellent opportunity for specialists and organisations to contribute to industry knowledge while engaging with fellow professionals.

Attend

Attendance at the SAIT Mini Lubricant, Tribology & Laboratory Expo is free of charge.

Professionals from across industry are encouraged to attend, whether they work directly in lubrication and tribology or in related areas such as maintenance, reliability, engineering, asset management, condition monitoring or laboratory services.

For attendees, the event provides an opportunity to explore available technologies and services, speak directly with suppliers and specialists, attend technical presentations and build valuable industry connections – all in one location.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Organisations can also participate as sponsors, providing an opportunity to increase brand visibility and demonstrate their support for the lubrication and tribology industry.

SAIT welcomes discussions with companies interested in sponsorship opportunities associated with the event.
